Roles and Responsibilities


Staff Council representatives serve as points of contact for their respective schools or divisions. They share information about Council activities, listen to staff perspectives, and bring forward themes and observations for Council discussion.

Each division is typically represented by:

  • a Primary Representative, and
  • an Alternate Representative

Representative Responsibilities

Representatives are expected to:

  • Attend monthly Staff Council meetings
  • Share Council updates within their division
  • Bring forward questions, themes, or observations from staff
  • Participate in at least one standing committee

Term Information

  • Representatives generally serve two‑year terms
  • Terms typically begin at the start of the academic year
  • Vacancies may be filled mid‑term as needed
